Our newest assignment is on important historical figures from Massachusetts! Each student will be using edu.glogster.com to create a biographical poster on one of these historical figures (the class has already been approved to report on the historical figure of their choice).

Parents, students may need help at home in doing research for this project. I strongly urge you to practice safe internet usage and only allow your child to use the internet when accompanied by you or another responsible adult. The only web use required would be to create the "glog" itself and find images to insert. If you like, other research can be done with biographical books from school and local libraries.

We made a glog together in class on a historical figure we've have already learned a great deal about - John Adams!

There's a visual for you (top left), but you can also see the poster on Glogster itself here: http://epoutre.edu.glogster.com/glog-7940-9063/.

Good luck, and make it fun!

This is a class activity using fruits and veggies to make diagrams of human skeletons. Each group is given different fruits and vegetables, which makes for an interesting variety in what they choose to represent the different parts of a skeleton. This helps the students get a better idea of how the human skeletal system is built and also makes for a delicious snack time. :)

Welcome! Here you will find posts about what my class is working on, photos and videos of class activities and student work, posts from students themselves, and everything in between. :)

The "Categories" on the side bar to your right will separate content for easy searching. Each student in my classroom will also have their own category so that whenever a post is made regarding him or her, it can be found quickly by clicking their name in "Categories."

All photos will be uploaded via Flickr for easy sharing as well. Find the classroom's Flickr by clicking any of the images in the sidebar to the right.

I also have a Yahoo! Delicious account in which helpful and/or interesting sites for students and parents will be bookmarked. Parents, feel free to make your own Delicious accounts to share websites with me and find out what kinds of web tools we are using in class.
